Instructions for use of the 'Who Is Credence' page
The 'Who is Credence' page has been created in order to provide some background to your customers who may not already be familiar with Credence or Phillip Day. It is hoped that it will 'pre-sell' them to some degree before they jump straight into the Credence store as they will have an idea of who Credence is and thus they will have more reasons to buy something from what is previously an unknown third party.
What will happen is visitors to your website will click on a link on your main page or wherever your affiliate link is now placed and they will get the 'Who Is Credence' page. Then when they click on the link to visit the Credence store they will be clicking through your affiliate link.
To use this page there are 4 simple steps and basic knowledge of editing web pages, using ftp etc is required. We cannot do this for you so if you have someone else who manages your website just refer them here if you want to use this page;
1. Download. Simply download the credence.htm file by right-clicking the link and choose 'save as' then unzip it to a folder on your hard drive.
2. Customize. Open it in your favourite html editor or wordpad etc. and locate the line that looks like this;
<a href="http://interneka.com/affiliate/AIDLink.php?BID=11205&AID=your affiliate id number" target=_top>
Where is says 'your affiliate id number' replace this text with your affiliate ID number (be sure to leave the " marks and '=' sign exactly as they are, replacing only the words 'your affiliate id number' with the actual id number). Your ID number can be found by looking at your affiliate link if you have already pasted the link somewhere on your site. You can also find the affiliate ID number by going into your account at Interneka.com, then go to 'adgroups', 'credencegroup1' and 'show html tags'. The ID number is a 5 digit number shown after 'AID='.
So once you have pasted your unique affiliate ID into the line above it should look something like this;
<a href="http://interneka.com/affiliate/AIDLink.php?BID=11205&AID=30030" target=_top>
Once you have changed the link per the instructions above, hit 'save' to save the customized version of the page on your computer, making sure you know where it is being saved to so you can locate it.
3. Change link on your web page. You will now need to change the link on your existing web page. So wherever you have placed your Credence affiliate link, replace the link with the filename of the Credence file. For the purposes of this tutorial we will assume you have left the name of the file as 'credence.htm' but of course you are free to change this if you wish.
If you left the filename as it is then where your affiliate link was the new link should be simply;
<a href="credence.htm">
(assuming you are placing the credence file into the same folder as the web page the link is placed on)
4. Upload to your server. Now upload the customized credence.htm and your web pages where the affiliate links appear to the appropriate folder on your server or webhost as you normally would. Test the link to make sure you get the Credence page and then when you click through the affiliate link you get the Credence store page.
